Ideas For A Galentine’s Day Party
I imagine by now most of you have heard of Galentine’s Day. The date is February 13, the day before Valentine’s Day.
Galentine’s Day, formed by a blend of gal and Valentine’s Day, is a day in which women celebrate their female friendships. It’s Valentine’s Day with your gal pals.
Ways To Celebrate:
Let’s look at some ways to gather your girlfriends together in order to celebrate Galentine’s Day.
You could either have a girl’s night in or a girl’s night out.
However you choose to celebrate with your gal pals, I have found some ideas and themes for your get-together.
Put someone in charge of creating a Valentine’s/Galentine’s wreath for the door. Everyone attending will be looking for this wreath on the door to know they’re in the right place.
Making A Wreath:
You can find the instructions for making this wreath here.
What would you choose as a centerpiece for the table?
I like this one.
This decorative table is both whimsical and casual. And it’s inexpensive as well.
You can see it here.
Here’s a Galentine’s brunch arranged by Randi Garrett Designs.
Isn’t the decor she chose absolutely gorgeous? Perfect for all her female friends to gather together and celebrate.
A Party Backdrop:
Below is a backdrop you could create for one wall.
You can get instructions for how to put this backdrop together here.
How about a Galentine’s Day cookie party? Get all the goodies together and let everyone decorate cookies. Every girl loves dessert.
Wine & Chocolate Tasting Party:
You might choose to have a wine and chocolate tasting party.
Now you have various ideas on how to theme your Galentine’s Day party. Get the girls together and let the party begin.
I have never heard of this..sounds great..!! Love all the pretty pics.. I may just have to meet a friend for lunch..but what a great reason to do so! Cheers. Know you are getting closer to your moving date and hopefully very excited for your next or next nest Chapter. :0)
WOW ,,,,,, gal fun!!! 👧 👩👧 👨👩👧👦 👱♀️
Love this ❤ a lot!!!
Although most of us are keeping ourselves company ,,,,, alone.
Sad, but safer now.
Too much illness.
Many have the flu also.
You can text or talk to a gal pal. Or send each other fun gifts. 🎁 Maybe ☺ treats!! 🍪 Cookies are not that expensive to send. Or candy. For ((not being paid to mention name)) instance ,,,,,,, TATE’s. They usually offer complimentary shipping & generous discounts. 😋 Yummy cookies. Also available in g-stores. I won’t go into candy places ,,,,, haha!!!
Have fun & enjoy 😉
I love the idea of Galentine’s Day! You’ve given me a great idea (hopefully for next year, if Covid is under control). I spend winters in Florida now, and don’t really have my circle of girlfriends down here, but throwing a Galentine’s party for women I’d like to get to know better in my building would be a fun idea! Putting it on the 2023 calendar!
Brenda, so many great ideas to celebrate the women in your life!
We are actually having a Galentine’s Day here in my condo with all the women in here. Should be fun. Love the ideas. Happy Wednesday.
Oh, that sounds like fun!
I’ve never heard of Galentines day, but I love the idea! I, too, like the cookie decorating. All the pictures are so beautiful!
I hadn’t heard of it until this past year.
Galentine’s Day! My goodness, I’ve never heard of it. I am really out of the social network loop. Sure are gorgeous photographs and the food displays, YUM! So pretty. I have no talent in such table decor and food arrangements at all! It would be lovely to get together with female friends, but my two besties and I are in the dangerous age range where getting a break-through COVID-19 infection might end in a stay in an ICU – if a bed could be found. Right now my home state of Wisconsin is having a huge surge in cases and hospitalizations. We’re all playing as safe as we can, and it might be that way for us the rest of our lives. That means summer outdoors get-togethers only, in one of our backyards.
Oklahoma is too. But still, most are not wearing masks.
Great ideas for a Galentine’s day party! All the ideas are so pretty! I would go for the cookie decorating theme! The recliner that you bought, I have all the same features on my rocker recliner and I absolutely love it and I know you will too!
It sounds like heaven to me with that lumbar feature.
Cute ideas! Our anniversary is on the 13th, our 51st.
Congratulations Sandy!
Happy Anniversary. Wow 51 years awesome.
Congratulations Sandy! That’s wonderful!
