Yesterday, Randy felt well enough to install my dish display wall rack on the kitchen wall. He’s been using chemo cream on his nose, and it is an inflamed area.
This morning, I added dishes to it.
When Randy gets me the remaining white paint, I can cover the screws that attach the dish rack to the wall at the top.
I added red and green dishes for my first dish display. Christmas colors, I know. But I have a lot of red and green decor in my kitchen.
I replaced the yellow-and-white checked oilcloth with my red-and-white tablecloth. They’re pretty cheap to purchase on Amazon.

The large print that was replaced by the dish rack was scooted down toward the corner above the jar storage shelves. I’m enjoying being able to get to my jars and cans more easily.
I hated digging around in the dark pantry, though I know I could have added lighting inside. This just makes it easier for me.

I love Granny Smith apples. I like to keep them on hand on my countertop to snack on.
It’s a cooler morning today; more fall weather is on the horizon. Trees are losing leaves, adding a multi-layered carpet on the ground. I don’t have a tree in my front yard, but I have one in the backyard.
Fall Weather & the Past Election:
Fall weather is so blissful after a hot, humid summer. The mid-term election is over. I breathed a sigh of relief, though the Oklahoma governor’s race didn’t go the way I’d have preferred.

Still, the country seems to be on a better, kinder path now. And for that I’m very grateful. More diverse candidates won, which, to me, is as it should be.
America, after all, is a multicultural population. We’re a mixed pot, more of a stew. And that is more representative of this country.
I don’t understand all the hoopla of racism. What a waste: to look at people and see only the color of someone’s skin. To feel fear and anger toward someone who is different.

I’ll have fun switching out the dishes on my dish display wall! Trading a dish display rack for a lawn mower was a good move on my part.
Not everyone wants to display their dishes. But I’ve always enjoyed showing them as wall decor.
