This week in Sunday Snippets 4.6.25…

It rained much of last week, as is typical for this time of year. But it was also cold, so the heater went back on.
Daisy loves to watch the birds outside the window. When she hears them chirp, her tail swings back and forth. Simon enjoys watching them, too, but he’s never still for very long. That boy, as Greg says, is full of vinegar.
The leaves are filling out on the trees. A yellow forsythia bush between my yard and Smitty’s was full of beautiful blooms. But they didn’t last long. I should have gotten out there and captured a photo of them.
It’s fun seeing what is planted in my new-to-me neighborhood.
Kasi and her husband Ross are looking at lake houses. Andrew loves fishing more than anything, so it will be a good fit when they find one they like. Since she is also a realtor, Kendra has been showing them properties. Last weekend they searched at Lake Eufaula.
Andrew says he wants to be a YouTube fisherman when he grows up.
What I’m Watching:

I decided to start at the beginning of the original Bosch series. I’ve seen it before, years ago, but want to refresh my memory before I start with Bosch: Legacy.
Titus Welliver plays Harry Bosch, and the stories are from Michael Connolly’s books. Bosch is the story of a former special forces officer named Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver), who’s now a homicide detective in Hollywood. He inspects suspicious deaths and is relentless in his pursuit of the truth.
I watched an excellent movie called The Accountant with Ben Affleck last week. Kasi told me The Accountant 2 is coming out soon. I wasn’t aware there was a second movie.
The Accountant is a 2016 action thriller starring Ben Affleck as Christian Wolff, a freelance accountant for criminal organizations. Wolff has a form of Autism, which makes it difficult to relate to and carry out conversations with others.
What I’m Reading:
I’m reading The Housemaid Is Watching by Freida McFadden.

Kasi and I both love reading Freida McFadden’s books. She is not only the author of bestselling books but also a practicing physician who specializes in brain injuries.
McFadden has written multiple psychological thrillers. McFadden’s background as a brain injury specialist informs her writing.

I’m fairly certain I already read The Housemaid. But I’m out of sequence in book order now anyway.
Spring planting (and shopping) is just around the corner! I’m dreaming of pretty, colorful blooms.

As someone who tried to write a first novel, I often wonder about sequels. How do you keep one story going over several books? Doesn’t the third book need to address what happened in the first two? Maybe I just need to read more. But at 74-years-old, with early cataracts, and my left eye becoming “lazy,” I find I can’t read anymore. I wish more publishing houses would make more size fonts, other than tiny and extra-large.
I have had both knees replaced within a 4 month time frame and thankfully doing great. Have you tried Arnica gel or cream , it is otc topical and is homeopathic. Truly is good for a few other things like bruises also.
I hope your daughter finds the perfect lake house. Your grandson will be so happy there! What exactly does a you tube fisherman do?
I really don’t know what a YouTube fisherman does. I guess they teach fishing.
