The Love Of Home Files #22
This week on The Love Of Home Files #22, there’s a minimalist but cozy living room, a refreshed guest room, and ground covers for your yard.
There’s also repurposed junk projects, a styled bar cart, a fabric wallpapered room, and recipes.
Cozy Minimalist Living Room:
Heidi from Eleanor Rose explains how she created a cozy minimalist living room. She says to clear out the clutter and focus on quality rather than quantity when choosing items for your home.
A Refreshed Guest Room:
Molly In Maine did a spring refresh in her guest cottage, hoping to inspire sweet dreams for her guests.
30+ Ground Cover Plants:
The folks at DIY Bunker have 30+ ground cover plants for your garden. These low-growing plants add visual interest and help retain moisture while preventing erosion.
Repurposed Junk Projects:
Lora Bloomquist shows 16 Vintage Repurposing Junk Projects to DIY. She scouts flea markets and thrift stores to find vintage items to repurpose.
How To Style A Bar Cart:
Leslie at My 100 Year Old Home has good tips for how to style a bar cart with elegant glassware and accessories.
Renter-Friendly Wall Paper Project Using Fabric:
Emily Henderson has a step-by-step guide to use fabric as wall paper. And it’s also renter friendly.
Air Fryer Salmon:
Lindsay from Pinch Of Yum created what she calls Ridiculously Good Air Fryer Salmon. Her tip for this dish is to buy boneless and skinless salmon. She says this will save you the work of removing the skin.
Chickpea Salad Recipe:
Jenn from Peas And Crayons made this Greek Chickpea Salad recipe. She says it’s tasty chilled, but in her opinion it tastes best at room temperature.
Chocolate Cookies With Marshmallow:
The folks at Southern Plate created a recipe for Chocolate Cookies with Marshmallow. They say it has a cookie/brownie texture to it.
I hope you find something here to inspire you today!
Thanks for the links, Brenda. I liked the article on groundcovers – they had a lot of good ideas. And the entire Lora Bloomquist website has a lot of good links and ideas. I wasn’t familiar with her.
Just a thought ~ is there any way when you post links, to have them open in a new page? It’s a pain to open a link and then have to go back to your page to then click on other links and go back again, and so on. Thank you!
Those cookies look yummy.
A great roundup today Brenda. I enjoyed reading the article on groundcovers and the recipes too. I make a greek chickpea salad similar to peasandcrayons – my recipe does not have avocado and includes black olives and feta cheese. Hope you have a peaceful weekend!
