Late yesterday afternoon, the doorbell rang, and my new Farberware Cookware arrived. My next-door neighbor Steve was standing at my door. He said, “You have a package out here. I saw it when I was getting my mail.”
He handed me the cookware box. I asked about his wife, who will likely be in the hospital over the weekend. St. Francis Hospital is just down the road, probably less than a mile. Then he went on his way.
I came inside and opened the box of new Farberware cookware I’d ordered. And of course, the cookware is red! (Do you think I’m going overboard with the red? Well, it really doesn’t matter because I love it!)
I searched online for a week or so to find a small set for one person from a good and reputable company. Even before I moved here, I looked online for cookware that would meet my needs.
Research & Due Diligence:
Like I always do, I researched cookware, the companies that made it, and how many stars their product received.
I also researched “best cookware for older folks”, though I guess that doesn’t matter all that much. And I also checked online articles for “best lightweight cookware”. Arthritis is not for sissies!
I like to cover all the bases so you don’t have to.

I really didn’t need them right away. It was more the excitement of getting new red pots and pans for my red, white, and black kitchen!
At my former apartment, I mainly cooked with my countertop convection toaster oven, so I didn’t really need this type of cookware. I managed with that and a microwave.
But here I’m planning more involved meals, possibly entertaining the family a little. This Farberware Cookware set is exactly what I needed to do that.
Farberware High Performance 15 Piece Aluminum Non-Stick Cookware Set:
Other colors were available as well. But I saw they had red and only glanced at the others.

This nonstick cookware set features DiamondMax interiors that perform 3X better than ceramic nonstick for easy food release and cleanup. The pots and pans are oven-safe up to 350 degrees F and dishwasher-safe for ultimate convenience in busy households.
It is functionally designed. This pot and pan set features dual-riveted handles for a confident grip. The shatter-resistant glass lids allow you to monitor cooking without losing heat or moisture.
Other colors are available.
I’ll of course let you know what I think of them after I’ve used them a while.
What I’m Doing This Morning:
I’m running the dishwasher. The kitties are probably sleeping in a hidey-hole someplace. I think they like having more room to roam around.
This morning I saw Gracie run after Ivy. It’s so cute when their tail fur puffs out when they get excited! Of course, I then had to look it up, per usual, to find out what that meant.
I fed the cats (they meow with extreme hunger when I start moving around), then ate breakfast and had a cup of coffee. It tasted so delicious.
I think I’m just happier in general, and thus things taste good, colors are brighter, and I probably smile more.
I am at peace, and all is right with my world.
Update on this Cookware:
Well, how time flies! I’m doing an update on this cookware.
I’ve been using this Farberware cookware for almost 5 years now, and am very pleased with it. I’m glad I ordered this set. It includes everything I need to cook for one person, and it would even be great for two.
I highly recommend this Farberware cookware.

Those pots and pans are gorgeous, Brenda! I’d sure have fun playing with those! Nice to hear you sound so contented…that’s everything in life, isn’t it?
Hi Brenda! I was thinking about you and had to look up your blog. You’ve moved! I’m glad to hear you’re happy and starting a new chapter in your life. I quit blogging a while back but missed it so much I started up again. My old blog was all mess up as all of my pictures had disappeared so I started a new one. Hope you’ll pop in sometime.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉
I looked and can’t find it.
Here it is: https://mynotesongs.blogspot.com/
I changed the name to ‘My Note Songs’

Brenda, I’ve read through all of your recent posts but waited until this last one to post a comment. I am SO happy for you! It’s been such a long and sometimes arduous journey for you to get to your new place but it seems like it’s all falling into place for you. I’m so excited to see this new place become yours. Congratulations! And what impeccable timing to get all moved in right before our Snowmageddon!
Enjoy the peace. You deserve it!
I can’t wait to see your decorated new place! In my mind I can just see how contented you are & your big smile. Happy for you!
Beautiful cookware Brenda! You can never have too much red in your cheerful kitchen! I echo others who recommend hand washing only. Washing in the dishwasher can dull the pretty enamel finish over time. Looking forward to seeing more of the layout of your cozy sweet home!
I love your red pots and pans and your pretty red, white, and black kitchen. So happy for you to have a nice new place!
I am so happy for you Brenda that you have found your happy place, with all that went on (or not) at your other apartment I am so glad to see you are out of there.
It sounds as if Ivy and Gracie are loving their new home too.
