Welcome to this week’s Sunday Snippets 11.23.25…
It’s been overcast, but there hasn’t been any rain for a few days. My outdoor plants are tucking themselves in for a winter slumber. I’ve stopped watering the containers.

Rhonda and I went over to Kendra’s rental house to see what she is working on at the moment. Whoever rents this house will get a brand-new kitchen, a new full bath, and a new laundry room. It looks really lovely.
Along with these new additions is a new roof, new shutters, new paint and wallpaper, and a newly painted front door. It was yellow, but she has now painted the front door a crisp green color. The exterior is still light blue.
I’ll show photos when she’s finished renovating it.
Movie I Watched:
All I See Is You (Netflix)

All I See is You (Netflix)
All I See Is You is a 2016 psychological drama film about a woman named Gina who regains her sight after a corneal transplant following years of blindness. Her newfound vision after a car accident that stripped her of sight dramatically changes her relationship with her husband, James.
She discovers a sense of independence and begins to see their life and him differently. At the same time, he becomes insecure and controlling amid the shift in their power dynamic.
The film blends drama with thriller elements as Gina starts to suspect her husband is hiding something from her. It’s love, dependence, and freedom for Gina. And for James, it is love, control, and jealousy. It is a love story that is at first precious, then goes off the rails and shatters.
What Miniseries I Watched:

The Beast in Me (Netflix)
Last week, I watched the 8-episode American psychological thriller television mini-series The Beast in Me. It was very fast-paced and engaging. The producers of the series include Jodie Foster and Conan O’Brien. It premiered on November 13, 2025. It stars Claire Danes, Matthew Rhys, Brittany Snow, and Natalie Morales.
The story is about author Aggie Wiggs. She has receded from public life since the death of her young son, unable to write, and a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when a shady, wealthy man named Nile Jarvis buys the house next door.
What I’m Now Watching:

Absentia (Netflix)
Absentia, starring Stana Katic, is a psychological thriller series about FBI agent Emily Byrne.
The series tells the story of her disappearance while hunting one of Boston’s most notorious serial killers, and she is declared dead in absentia.
Six years later, she is found in a cabin in the woods, barely alive and with no memory of the years that she was missing. She returns home to learn that her husband has remarried and the new wife is raising her son. And she soon finds herself implicated in a new series of murders that keeps her on the run from the police.
What I’m Reading:

The 6:20 Man
I’m currently reading The 6:20 Man by David Baldacci.
Every day without fail, Travis Devine puts on a cheap suit, grabs his faux-leather briefcase, and boards the 6:20 commuter train to Manhattan. He works as an entry-level analyst at the cityโs most prestigious investment firm.
In the mornings, he gazes out the train window at the lavish homes of the uberwealthy, dreaming about joining their ranks. In the evenings, he listens to the fiscal news on his phone, already preparing for the next grueling day in the cutthroat realm of finance. Then one morning, Devineโs tedious routine is shattered by an anonymous email: She is dead.
Sara Ewes, Devineโs coworker and former girlfriend, has been found hanging in a storage room of his office building, presumably a suicide. It prompts the NYPD to come calling on him. If that wasnโt enough, before the day is out, Devine receives another ominous visit. This confrontation threatens to dredge up grim secrets from his past in the army unless he participates in a clandestine investigation into his firm.
This treacherous role will take him from the rich lives he once saw only through a train window to the darkest corners of the countryโs economic halls of power. And something rotten lurks there. And apart from this high-stakes conspiracy, thereโs a killer with their own agenda, and Devine is the bullโs-eye.
