Today, on Sunday, Snippets 2.9.25 is the weekly post I write about what’s happened in my life in the past week. Something I write almost every week, much like Tuesday Toss Up.

Two wild kittens have been running through the house like their tails are on fire this morning while Ivy naps on my bed. Simon seems to be the most crazed today, and I have no idea what got him started.

He chirps and runs and leaps through the air. It’s something to watch as long as things don’t get knocked over. Daisy sits at the top of the cat tower, watching him. I think this morning’s antics have even surprised her.

I’m glad I have two kittens to entertain one another during their kitten phase. I recall Ivy getting into all sorts of mischief when she was their age.

I know I’ve shown you this image before, but this was online when I saw Ivy for the first time. They called her Allie, and then I switched it to Ivy.

She was so tiny and sweet! I didn’t get to adopt her until she was about five months old, so obviously this was an early photo they took of her. That precious little face!

What I’m Currently Watching/Streaming:

I just finished watching all four seasons of 19-2 on Acorn TV.

Then, I began watching Jack Irish on Acorn TV. I couldn’t seem to get into that series, so I began watching Line of Duty for the second time. It revolves around Anti-Corruption Unit 12 (AC-12), a team inside a fictional police force tasked with “policing the police.”

What I’m Currently Reading:

I’m reading Midnight Is The Darkest Hour by Ashley Winstead. The hardback version is on sale at Amazon for $5, in case you want to check it out.

Amazon

In Midnight is the Darkest Hour, librarian Ruth Cornier has always felt like an outsider in her small hometown, even as her beloved father rains fire-and-brimstone warnings from the pulpit at Holy Fire Baptist.

Unfortunately for Ruth, the only things the townspeople fear more than God and the Devil are the myths that haunt the area, like the story of the Low Man, a vampiric figure said to steal into sinners’ bedrooms and kill them on moonless nights.

When a skull is found deep in the swamp next to mysterious carved symbols, Bottom Springs is thrown into uproar―and Ruth realizes only she and Everett, an old friend with a dark past, have the power to comb the town’s secret underbelly in search of true evil.
