  1. Brenda, I have those dishes. I got them because they would look perfect for Valentine’s Day, Christmas, and, of course, Fourth of July. I never thought to pair them with blue and white gingham napkins…but I will now.

  2. I love red , wte and blue decos so much that I have a room dedicated to them! I still have my fav jeans that I wore in high school that still fit me when I tried them on recently!

The other day I received my bowl plates in the mail and they’re very vibrant colors! I can’t wait to order some other colors when they are on sale again.

Have a fantastic weekend coming up Brenda and all your commenters as well!

    1. I know I couldn’t fit in mine. And they’re long lost because I have no idea where they’d be anyway.

  3. Your table setting is so pretty! A happy looking table! And I can just see Ivy Lou up there re-arranging the flowers – kitty assistance.
Super happy about the path! That is such good news – can’t wait to see a photo.

    1. I think he’ll finish the path today. He’s in the middle of moving his family to a different house.

  4. Your table looks great! I am glad your path will be safe for you!

    1. Wish I could have left the centerpiece I had on the table. But Ivy was all over it.

  5. I just love your red/white/blue table!🇺🇸 Our youngest sone was born on the 4th of July, 38 yrs ago. It’s my favorite holiday! Through the years I have collected patriotic things, and made quilts and table runners. I love how you always add in joy to your apartment ❣️

  6. Very nice cozy looking table. It’s funny how things like this just brighten our days in our homes. I am glad I enjoy the warmth of cute dishes, home accessories and find such pleasure in just putting a bologna sandwich on a plate. I am grateful every day to have a safe refuge in this crazy upside down world.

  7. You are amazing with your beautiful table setting. I use paper plates mostly. 😉

    1. I can’t remember the last time I bought paper plates. Probably when my kids were little. Since I never go to family gatherings where a lot of people are eating, I don’t have a need for them really. But it’s just me, so keeping the plates clean is easy.

  8. A very ❤️ beautifully set 🇺🇸 holiday table Brenda!!!
    Easy to visualize a hearty pancake 🥞 and fruit breakfast, or a brunch ,,,,, 🍓 ,,,,,, 🫐 ,,,,, 🍇 ,,,,, 🍎 ,,,,,, 🍏 with your family ,,,,, or friends!!!
We can hardly wait to see the fixed up patio-path!! 🌳 🌼 🌸 🌻
Realy wonderful that happened for you!!
Most definitely, handy-persons these days can use the extra bucks.
    Everything is so expensive.
We spend a fortune shopping or even ordering in for the 3 of us.
Our parents, would be shocked 😲 to see bread at $5.00 a loaf.
    Keep enjoying 🌞 summertime!!

  9. I love your patriotic table setting! Delightful and beautiful. The gingham napkins are wonderful.
I know you’re going to love and enjoy your new path. Yay for Ron and Pat’s grandson!
Have a wonderful day and stay cool.

    1. Their grandson is in the middle of moving too. A wife and 3 kids. And he comes over here and works for me. But then he needs the money I’m sure. He’s coming back tomorrow. It already seems to be a miracle what he’s done out there with that big slope, huge ornamental grass, and roots as thick as his arm he had to use an axe to get out. It is now flat and I’m overjoyed.

  10. Your red, white, and blue theme makes me want to use those colors, too. The holiday will be here soon. That is half way through the summer which is a good thing. This season began hot early. We need rain!

    1. I did have lots of red and white, but no blue plates. So I ordered the 4 blue salad plates that you see there.

  11. I love your table decorations! Maybe Trader Joe’s will have some pretty flowers to compliment your table decorations. That would be a nice centerpiece! You don’t actually need a centerpiece, because it looks good just as it is, but I know you like flowers! I can’t wait to see your walking path! You should post before and pictures!

    1. I should have done that but didn’t think to. I already had a centerpiece there before I took the photos. It was faux white hydrangeas in a blue and white vase. But Miss Ivy wouldn’t leave the faux hydrangeas alone. So I had to move it.

  12. Oh how festive! I love it! I didn’t realize Phalzgraff made such cute dishes! I have some old ones!
I can’t wait to see your walkway!!!

    1. I didn’t know they did either, though I’ve been eyeing these dishes for a few years. I love that they don’t just sell formal type dishware.

  13. Love your tablescape—did you used to have polka-dotted dishes in your old place? I feel like you did…

Great on the new pathway—looking forward to the pictures. You have a wonderful gift to envision making everything just right! I look at a space and go blank! ha-ha.

Did your daughter get moved into her home?

    Have a beautiful day…Jane

    1. Yes, Kendra got moved into her home. She’s already working on another flip house. I did have polka-dotted bowls at one time. But I never used them and a reader from Texas drove all the way here with her husband because I said I’d give them to her. She’s delighted with them. I didn’t have as much room to store things at the other apartment.

  14. I love your new dishes and your 4th of July table setting. Your patio plants look so homey and cozy, and the new path will be the cherry on top…enjoy.

  15. Cute ideas, Brenda! OH goodie…looking forward to seeing the new path…we so understand how important it is to have a smooth safe place to walk!!

    1. I was so scared to walk toward the sidewalk or up on the upper-level yard, because nothing was level! All I needed was another fall right before I’m having surgery on the 27th.
