This week on New & Notable Mentions #18 I have lots of holiday inspiration for you to check out.
Decorating:
Fox Hollow Cottage has decorated for the holiday in soft pink shades.
Fox Hollow Cottage wrote on her blog:
“I really challenged myself to use what I had, and make simple tweaks to make this holiday look happen! It was actually very simple to go pink—by just splashing a bit here & there, and layering it with a generous base of silvers, golds & neutrals that I already had.”
Joanna Anastasia shows her cozy holiday home tour for 2021.
She wrote on her blog:
“This year I decided to go for more greens and golds in my decor- and it feels so right with all the pine trees we see out the windows! I love it when the inside of the home somehow resembles the outside- it just feels more cohesive.“
Simple Holiday Decorating:
Taryn Whiteaker has a classic and neutral wooden bowl of ornaments and fresh greenery in her home.
She writes on her blog:
“It takes me so long to decorate for the holidays that it just doesn’t seem right to have it up for only 3-4 weeks out of the year. I love the process so much that I don’t like to feel rushed. I want to enjoy every stocking hung and garland draped.“
French Creek Farmhouse shows some of her vintage farmhouse finds.
She wrote on her blog:
“Now that the holiday season is officially here, I’m so excited to transform our home into a magical Christmas house. Of course, even at Christmas, I love to decorate with a vintage farmhouse aesthetic.”
Craftberry Bush created a bowl basket filled with ornaments and greenery.
She wrote in her blog post:
“The other day I took a little trip to the nursery to get some fresh greens and I was shocked to see the price. I decided to buy only a minimal amount and the rest, we will get the forest ourselves. These pretty ones we cut during our afternoon walk.”
Crafts/DIYs:
Home Stories A-Z shows you how to wrap presents with style and creativity.
She wrote on her blog:
“Walking into a room with a perfectly decorated themed tree with gifts that match is always a beautiful sight! With the right wrapping paper, tags, and ribbon, it’s easy to achieve a curated look!”

I like that quote! The decor you featured is so beautiful and the recipes sound scrumptious!
I love seeing all of the beautiful decorations and decor that people make or use for the holidays. Lucy from Craftberry Bush is AMAZING, I have followed her for years and love everything she does.
I like the different styles of Christmas decorating…very pretty. That chicken pot pie looks delicious! That will have to be on my menu soon.
What a great post! You have a new subscriber – me!
I love the idea of adding pink to silvers and golds. I think that would be lovely for Valentines day. I have always thought about keeping a small to medium tree up year round and changing the decorations for the different seasons and holidays. Maybe this year will be the year I start! You have collected lots of ideas for us Brenda, thanks! I am finally starting to get in the Christmas decor mood.
You sure put a lot of time into this post and I loved it.
Hi Brenda!
You sure put a lot of time and thought into today’s post and I loved it all and spent way too much time looking at everything. What beautiful decorations these ladies have put together! I’ve got to try that chicken pot pie recipe and the Irish cream recipe reminded me that I haven’t done that in years. It’s just so easy to pick up a bottle at Costco lol. I could make eggnog too but don’t they sell that in stores?
Beautiful homes and trimmings. And found two great recipes! Thank you for posting these 🎄
Lovely to look at! So many ideas for enjoying this time of year. Even if you are not big into celebrating Christmas, it’s nice to have these comforts for the short days and long nights.
Love the holiday home tours you showed. How gorgeous and such a great selection of styles. Love them all.
