On Tuesday, Rhonda and I went to Hobby Lobby. My, the Christmas decor they have in that store!
The Bissell Little Green Pet Deluxe:

Then, on Thursday, Rhonda came here to help me figure out the Bissell Little Green Pet Deluxe Portable Carpet Cleaner and Car/Auto Detailer. I got it because I wanted to clean the upholstery of my couch.
The first time, the stains reappeared after the upholstery had dried. However, when I performed the second cleaning the next day, the results were significantly improved. I am impressed with this little machine.
Over the years, I had tried to clean the couch upholstery with spray cleaners. I didn’t have any luck with them. This little machine was around a hundred dollars, and now I have a clean couch again. Since it is beige, even the smallest detail stands out. And it almost looks brand new.
On Wednesday night, I had supper at Kendra’s house with her, Riley, and Marley. She made chicken enchiladas that were quite tasty.
Movie I Watched:

Yesterday, I watched Wind River on Netflix.
What It’s About: Cory Lambert is a wildlife officer who finds the body of an 18-year-old woman on an American Indian reservation in snowy Wyoming. When the autopsy reveals that she was raped, FBI agent Jane Banner arrives to investigate. Teaming up with Lambert as a guide, the duo soon find that their lives are in danger while trying to solve the mystery of the teen’s death.
Wind River is not based on a single true story, but rather on the widespread reality of missing and murdered Indigenous women on American reservations, inspired by the thousands of real-life cases of sexual assault and murder within these communities.
Jeremy Renner was outstanding in his role as a wildlife officer tasked with this case.
According to Indian Affairs, violence against native Americans and Alaska natives far exceeds national averages.
What Series I’m Watching:
I’m currently watching The Following with Kevin Bacon. The series has 3 seasons and 45 episodes. I’m watching it on Prime Video.

What It’s About: The FBI calls on Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon), a former agent, when Joe Carroll (James Purfoy), a notorious serial killer he apprehended years earlier, escapes from death row. Carroll, an English professor and novelist fixated on Edgar Allan Poe, mutilated and killed 14 women before he was imprisoned.
Hardy and the FBI learn that while he was incarcerated, Carroll spent his time gathering a collection of cult-like followers. The recruits prove themselves willing to commit murder, facilitate abductions, and even sacrifice themselves to help Carroll with his deadly objectives and achieve his ultimate goal – to exact revenge on Ryan Hardy.
What Book I’m Reading:
I’m reading The Exiles by Jane Harper. It is #3 in Harper’s Aaron Falk series.

What It’s About: Federal Investigator Aaron Falk travels to a small town in Southern Australian wine country for the christening of an old friend’s baby. But mystery follows him, even on vacation.
That weekend marks the first anniversary of Kim Gillespie’s disappearance. One year ago, at a busy town festival on a warm spring night, Kim safely tucked her sleeping baby into her stroller, then vanished into the crowd. No one has seen her since. When Kim’s older daughter makes a plea for anyone with information about her missing mom to come forward, Falk and his old buddy Raco can’t leave the case alone.
As Falk soaks up life in the lush valley, he is welcomed into the tight-knit circle of Kimโs friends and loved ones. But the group may be more fractured than it seems. Between Falkโs closest friend, the missing mother, and a woman heโs drawn to, dark questions linger. What would make a mother abandon her child? What happened to Kim Gillespie?

I hope you enjoyed reading today’s Sunday Snippets 8.31.25.

Wish the stores would not push the seasons, time goes fast enough as it is. I made an apple pie this morning. We went to a Mennonite stand yesterday, they have home grown vegetables and an orchard of various fruits. Sure can tell the difference from the store bought ones.
My sister has had a Little Green for years for cleaning up after pets. The same one, too, it has held up over time.
I was in HL recently and thought all that Christmas stuff was a bit overwhelming. I haven’t even made the fall apple pies yet!
I thought the many rows of Christmas stuff was overwhelming, too. There can be too much of a good thing.
Sounds like you had a great week. A little family time, a little friend time. A good book and movie. Sounds pretty nice to me!
It was nice!
