You can’t beat a hearty casserole on a cold day. Or a hot one for that matter!

I absolutely love casseroles and make them often. Since there are always leftovers around here when I cook, I save the rest for the next day or freeze it for later.

Most casserole recipes are fast and easy to prepare. At least the ones I choose are! I don’t like anything complicated in my kitchen. The fewer ingredients, the better.

Casserole dishes are easy to clean up after eating because everything is cooked in one pan. However, there will have been a bowl or two you used when you mixed it all up.

If you’re like me, you did that clean-up while the casserole was cooking. Serving the casserole in its original pan makes for easy clean-up, too.

You can place a casserole on the table, perhaps with a healthy salad or bread, and you’re ready to eat!

What is there not to love about casseroles? One pan can feed the whole family or a gathering. It’s also easy to carry a casserole to another home for the holidays. And don’t forget how popular casseroles are at potlucks!

Where I Always Search For Casserole Recipes:

When I’m looking for something different to cook for myself, I typically hit Pinterest for casseroles. The fewer ingredients, the better, and if it’s quick to prepare, it makes me even happier.

You can get all your nutrients in one fell swoop with casseroles. I often like to cook cornbread because I can reheat it. (And Ivy likes it). Then I often freeze individual squares of cornbread for another day and another meal.

Prepare mixed greens or a fruit salad to serve beside the main dish for an even more flavorful meal.
