This week in Sunday Snippets 11.16.25…
The trees in my neighborhood are as beautiful as the graphic below that I found at a shop on Etsy. It’s always a wonder to see the trees change colors in autumn, after the refreshing green leaves that sprout in the springtime.
The scene below is so serene, with the tree, the surrounding water, and the mountains in the distance.

Thursday was Kasi’s birthday. My youngest child is 47! Kendra will be 51 years old in a few weeks. Her boyfriend took her to Branson for a few days of fun and relaxation last week. She told me she took a book to read.
I managed to get the house clean earlier in the week. But I haven’t mopped in a month; however, who’s looking at the floor? I avoid doing so. I’m happy there are lots of area rugs to fill the spaces.
Lunch With Kasi:
Kasi brought lunch yesterday, and we happily chatted for a few hours. Their lakehouse is being built relatively quickly, thanks to so many lovely days for construction.
Here are a few photos of their property on Eufaula Lake, which is about an hour and a half from Tulsa.

I know the three of them, Kasi, Ross, and Andrew, will have many wonderful days relaxing here by the lake. And Andrew will be fishing, his favorite hobby.
A Series I’m Watching:

I’m watching a 5-episode political thriller limited series on Netflix called “Hostage” starring Suranne Jones. She plays a British prime minister whose husband, a doctor, is kidnapped along with other physicians while working at Doctors Without Borders.
The kidnappers want Abigail (Suranne Jones) to resign. But they don’t say why. They give her a short window to announce her resignation, but she is fighting it.
At an international summit between the French and British leaders, the French president is also blackmailed with photos of a liaison she had with her stepson.
It is a short series, but well worth watching.
Book I’m Reading:
I ordered this ebook for free on Bookbub. I’ve written about Bookbub before. It is a site for ordering free or low-cost ebooks. Every day, there is a list of free books, or 99-cent and upward ebooks.

Welcome aboard, Pacific Air Flight 385, with nonstop service from Seattle to Honolulu.
Cora is scared to fly again after her husband died in a recent helicopter crash in Pago Pago.
A thousand times she has told herself to turn around, not get on the flight, and go back to her young children.
But now, she’s seated in first class across the aisle from the girlfriend of a famous billionaire pharmaceutical entrepreneur.
Halfway across the Pacific, the flight is hijacked. Six people are dead—including the pilots.
Cora is a young widow, mother, and emergency room nurse. But as the world closes in around her, she’s also a pilot’s daughter.
Lost off radar in the middle of the vast Pacific Ocean, the motive behind the hijacking remains a mystery. Not knowing whom to trust, Cora works with the man seated beside her, Seattle Homicide Detective Kyle Adams, to save herself and the remaining 154 souls on board.

Happy for your happy family times!! Looks like the lakehouse will be a great place too.
Happy birthday Kasi!!!
The house on the lake is beautiful. It will be a wonderful get away. I love this time of year with the leaves on the ground and fluttering around. We’ve had a lot of rain these past few days so everything is soaked but much needed.
