Oklahoma Vaccine News, What I Just Read, & What I’m Going To Begin Reading

I’m getting my vaccine tomorrow through other already scheduled means, but it is so good to know everyone will be eligible to get the vaccine right away.

Here is the article. We are so very thankful to them.

Finished Reading:

I finished reading “Too Good To Be True” last night. It was one of those thrillers that keep you guessing all the way through it. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

It was one of my “Book Of The Month Club” picks for this month.

I ordered a second book because I had points. “Pretty Little Wife” was the other choice.

However I think I’m going to start reading “Safe House” by Jo Jakeman. I’ve had it for awhile.

Safe House Summary:

One day, a woman turns up in a remote coastal village. She’s bought a crumbling, long-vacant cottage and calls herself Charlie Miller.

Charlie keeps to herself, reluctant to integrate with the locals. If they ever find out who she really is, and what she’s done, she’ll lose what little she has left.

Charlie served two years in prison for providing a false alibi for a murderer. It was the mistake of a woman in love. A woman who couldn’t believe her boyfriend was guilty–or lying to her. All she desperately wants now is a fresh start.

As Charlie slowly lets down her guard and becomes friendly with her neighbors, she can’t shake the feeling that someone is watching her. Someone who knows what she did.

When one of her new friends suddenly disappears, Charlie’s worst fears are confirmed. She must confront her past head-on. But as she knows all too well, everything is far more dangerous than how it appears.

  1. How wonderful the tribal nations are sharing their excess allotments of the vaccine with others in your state. That is the kind of thing that warms heart heart and gives me hope about our country after all the chaos and fear mongering of the past several years! You read books so quickly you have my head spinning Brenda! Safe House sounds like a book I would enjoy!

  2. The vaccine is not an “immunization”. It does not make one to have immunity from obtaining Covid, nor does it make others safer. It “supposedly” keeps those who take it from getting a lesser version of the virus. This is an experimental drug folks are putting into their body. My husband took it..but its not for me. ..my choice. He has a lung disesase and it was his choice to obtain it..but he always takes a flu shot. It should be a choice..not a requirement. This is America, or rather it used to be.

    1. Exactly. Well put. I’m not getting it either nor do I get a flu shot. It’s a choice.

  3. Good old Biden, going to release thousands into our nation. And bless his heart, we get to increase our taxes.

  4. Congratulations on getting the vaccine! I am so excited for you! If you are looking for a book to read, The Firekeepers Daughter is excellent, I may be a little biased because it was written by my cousin. Have a great day!
